Onome Fasan is the brain behind the fast rising blog ebonyville.blogspot.com; she is also the CEO of Ebonyworth, a modelling agency and event management outfit based in Lagos, Nigeria. This thick chick is a representation of a typical African woman in every possible way. Her love for information inspired her to go into blogging but words of encouragement by her family, friends and followers has kept her going.

HIP: How/ when did you start blogging?
ONOME: I started blogging in September 19th 2011.
HIP: What inspires you?
ONOME: Well I love information, guess that’s where the inspiration comes from.
HIP: What have you achieved with your blog?
ONOME: I made money, met good people and learn to be tolerant, patience and to also believe in myself.
HIP: How many visitors do you get daily on your blog?
ONOME: I get over 10, 000 visitors
HIP: Have you ever been discouraged?
ONOME: Yes, I have been discouraged several times but the grace of God, words of encouragement from my followers, friends and family kept me going.
HIP: How much do you make averagely from blogging?
ONOME: Hum… averagely not bad atall, I don’t want to mention but it’s fine.
HIP: What are the challenges you’re faced with?
ONOME: Everyone wants you to place adverts for free… that is the challenge!
HIP: What motivates you to continue?
ONOME: I love what I do; I enjoy doing it because if you don’t enjoy what you do, you will never be good at it.
HIP: What makes your blog different from others?
ONOME: I try to keep it plain and simple. I don’t blog too many stories and I don’t blog stories because everyone is doing it, I just try to make it classic.
HIP: What other business (es) do you do apart from blogging?
ONOME: I run a modeling agency and an event company called Ebonyworths.
HIP: Where is your favourite place in Nigeria?
ONOME: Abuja! It’s cool, calm and peaceful before the so-called Boko-haram came to change things.
HIP: Describe and Average Nigerian Youth
ONOME: An average Nigerian youth is not ready to learn and lacks patience. They want everything to happen very fast.
HIP: When you look at the future of Nigeria with you in it, what do you see?
ONOME: Changes, good changes.
HIP: What do you wish to change in Nigeria?
ONOME: The way the country is being run by the government.
HIP: Are you are proud Nigerian?
