HIP: How/ when did u start your clothing business?
SEGUN: I have always been passionate about style from a young age due to the fact that my mum was a designer though she stopped when I was fifteen years old of age. It all started when I was still modeling, then I designed clothes I wore to castings and different people appreciated them and wanted to know who made them and at a point I discovered I could make money from it since it is what I love doing. I made a commitment to constantly improve and perfect my craft and that was over nine years ago. This industry is one you need to be 100% passionate about because your passion sells you. During the designing process, it is your vision that comes through on the garment.
HIP: What inspires you?
SEGUN: Firstly, God is my source of inspiration, He puts me in the right state of mind to be able to premeditate before bringing out whatever design I might have done. My mother (Mrs. M.F. Ijiwande) is also my source of inspiration because she believes in me and encourages me at all times, and lastly my environment and the society at large.
HIP: What have you achieved as a clothier?
SEGUN: I have achieved to be a famous and a creative designer to some of our Nigerian celebrities and some other Nigerian citizens who knows me for my creative art and craft and cannot do without wearing my aesthetic products. I also achieved being one of the celebrated designers in Nigeria at large.
HIP: Have you ever been discouraged?
SEGUN: Discouragement is bound to occur in ones life especially in a chosen career like this due to the existence of inexperienced hawkers who call themselves designers who wait on the qualified ones to purge out their creative mind for them to imitate and make money from.
HIP: How much do you make; as a clothier?
SEGUN: The amount I make as a clothier might not be as much as oil company workers but I earn a lot of satisfaction being in the system.
HIP: What are d challenges you’re faced with?
SEGUN: Having to get my taste of fabrics for the creation I tend to work on in the market and epileptic power supply.
HIP: What motivates you to continue?
SEGUN: My passion for fashion and style is my only source of motivation.

SEGUN: Apart from clothing, I as well do apparel consulting, image consulting, costume manager, creative directing and modeling. Alongside clothing, I make shoes, belts and customized bow and long ties for special occasions.
HIP: Where is your favourite place in Nigeria?
SEGUN: My favourite place in Nigeria is Obudu cattle ranch.
HIP: Describe an Average Nigerian Youth
SEGUN: An average Nigerian Youth is that young chap who cannot wait to make all the money he or she needs to cruise around town and live a flamboyant life just to prove to his fellow youth he has arrived
HIP: When you look at the future of Nigeria with you in it, what do you see?
SEGUN: I see myself being one of the top five biggest designers in Africa
HIP: What do you wish to change in Nigeria?
SEGUN: I wish to improve the epileptic condition of electricity and nepotism in our system of government.
HIP: Are you proud Nigerian?
SEGUN: Of course, I am a proud Nigerian because only in Nigeria one tends to thrive to become someone that matters in the society.
HIP: Describe you in a sentence.
SEGUN: I am a tall, dark chap who loves to live a peaceful and comfortable life and have a strong passion for fashion and style.
